We transported a large press machine from Laem Chabang Port in Thailand and supervised its installation at a factory in Thailand. In collaboration with Konoike Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. of the KONOIKE Group, we provided comprehensive support from transportation to final installation.
Upon reaching the factory, we found a large wasp nest blocking the planned access route, which prevented truck entry. As a result, we manually transported the cargo over a distance of about 200 meters. Along the way, we overcame numerous obstacles like power lines, rough terrain and more, highlighting our dedication to safety and our ability to solve problems in difficult circumstances.
During the unpacking and installation process, we encountered noticeable differences in cargo handling practices among some local staff. Working closely with the site manager, we share Japanese safety standards and best cargo handling techniques with the team.
Even when things don't go as planned, swift decision-making and rapid responsiveness are essential.
In this case, we swiftly adjusted the delivery route and switched to manual transport. Thanks to decisive actions and strong teamwork, the installation was completed safely and successfully.
Typically, forwarding services conclude once the cargo is loaded, but we go further—inspecting shipments at the discharge point and addressing any issues immediately. In this project, our on-site team's quick decision and close collaboration with local staff contributed to the project's success. This strong on-site expertise is a key asset of Konoike Shipping.
